WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University women's tennis team (2-2) welcomed Rhode Island College (3-0) to the Corash Tennis Courts on Tuesday afternoon and were bested 7-0 by the Anchorwomen.

Doubles: RIC 3, Clark 0

• Senior Crisi Patel and sophomore Amanda Keith tallied five wins before falling 5-7 in a hard-fought match against Hadlock and Ourrer in number three doubles.
• In number one doubles. sophomore Larkin Gardinier and junior Varvara Maltseva won two games, but dropped their match 2-6 to Peacock and Botelho.
• Senior Merielle Kane and junior Olivia Shipley also recorded a pair of games won before falling 2-6 to De Thomas and Houwers in number two action.

Singles: RIC 6, Clark 0

• In number three singles, Kane rallied back to force a third set as she dropped the first set 1-6, took the second set 6-3, and fell 1-6 in the deciding set.
• Shipley also pushed her match three sets in number four action as she fell 4-6 in the first set, won the second set 6-3, and dropped the final set 3-6.
• Sophomore Elena Zhakov battled with Ourren in number five singles before ultimately falling 5-7, 0-6.
• Keith won four games across two sets, but dropped her match 4-6, 0-6 in number six action.
• In number two singles, Maltseva collected one game won, falling 0-6, 1-6 to Peacock.
• Gardinier (No. 1) competed in number one singles against De Thomas.

The Cougars will be back in action on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Simmons to Corash for a match beginning at 12:00 p.m.
