Box Score BOSTON, Mass. – The Clark University women's lacrosse evened out their record at 2-2 as Simmons College defeated the Cougars by a final score of 12-6 in a non-conference game on Friday night in Boston. The two first-years Elysia Hall (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) and Kiley Simmons (Atkinson, N.H.) collected two goals apiece in the setback for Clark.

How it Happened
Hall tops the Cougs scoring list once again as she net two more goals while collecting one assist on seven shots Kiley Simmons also scored two goals on nine shots and two ground balls on the game. Junior captain Anna Joyce (Hopkinton, Mass.) collected a goal and an assist while Dana Miller (Oak Ridge, N.J.) added a goal in the contest.
For the visiting Shark's Lauren Whitman found the net for seven goals and scooped up five ground balls to help lead her team to the 12-6 victory.
The Cougars struck the back of the net first with Miller collecting a goal just 20 seconds into the game on an assist from Hall. The Cougs and Sharks would go back and forth with goals alternating the first six markers on the board. Clark's second goal would come at the 26:28 mark in the first as they would regain the lead 2-1 with Simmons collecting her first of the contest off a feed from Joyce before the Sharks evened up the score once again.
Simmons found twine for her second goal of the game to break the tie once again with 15:52 left in the first before Simmons College pocketed the next two goals of the game. With 3:20 left in the half, Joyce scored off a dish from Ilah Hardersen (Buckley, Wash.) to knot the score at 4-4. The Sharks grabbed the lead before the end of the half with Whitman scoring in unassisted fashion for the 5-4 lead going into the break.
In the second half, Clark would pull even with the first goal of the session as Hall responded with an unassisted goal of her own. But in response, Simmons rallied for six unanswered goals with Whitman and Molly Reinhold leading the run with two and three goals respectively. Clark found the net for its final goal of the contest at the 5:08 mark of the second half with Hall collecting her second marker of the game on a free-position chance before the final Simmons goal just less than four minutes later provided the 12-6 final.
Clark goalkeeper Maggie Paul (Falmouth, Mass.) collected a season-high 11 saves in the contest while Simmon's goalie Nicole Elliott grabbed her second win of the season as she faced 16 shots. Clark finished 9-for-20 in the faceoff circle (45%) while being outshot by Simmons with a 36-20 spread.
