MARLBOUROUGH, Mass. – Clark University women's soccer senior
Gabriella Herivaux was named NEWMAC Offensive Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office earlier today.
This marks Herivaux's first NEWMAC weekly accolade and is the first Cougar to earn the honor this season.
"We are thrilled to see Gabby off to a strong start," said head coach Brienne Smith. "She was the spark we needed on Saturday. She is playing with confidence and urgency and we are excited to see her build on this stand out performance!"
Herivaux (Canton, Mass.) led the Cougars' offense with two goals and an assist as Clark began the 2025 season with a convincing 6-0 victory over Nichols on Saturday. The senior netted her first goal of the afternoon after winning the 1v1 matchup with the goalie and finding the right side of the goal. Herivaux then scored the Cougars' first goal of the second half and dished out an assist to
Calabria Augustino for the final goal of the contest.
The senior has now scored two goals in a contest on four different occasions in her career. The Cougars will return to the pitch tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Framingham State for a non-conference contest against the Rams beginning at 4:00 p.m.
