All-Conference Release
"I am extremely proud of Cyriah and all the hard work and dedication she has given to this program just as a first-year," said head coach Bridgette Reyes. "Earning Rookie of the Year and All- Conference is a testament to the grind, passion and will to be great. I can't wait to see what she accomplishes in her next three years here at Clark."
Coleman (Los Angeles, Calif.) is the first Cougar since the 2003-04 season to win Rookie of the Year (Ashley Auclair) and first Second Team performer since Hannah Favaloro (2021-22) after a terrific first year at Clark. The first-year ranked in the top 12 in the NEWMAC and led the team in points (13.3), assists (2.7), and finished sixth in steals (2.2). She finished third on the squad in rebounds per night (5.8).
Coleman recorded 18 games in double-figures this season, including a career-high 24 points in the championship game of the Worcester City Tournament, in which she also won Tournament MVP. In a critical NEWMAC win over Emerson, Coleman netted 20 points on 8-12 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds. She also earned NEWMAC Defensive Athlete of the Week earlier this season.
