MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – Clark University men's soccer senior goalie Jaime Pedraza was named NEWMAC Men's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.

This marks Pedraza's first NEWMAC Defensive Athlete of the Week accolade of his career. He is the first Cougar since Diego Marin in 2025 to earn the conference recognition.

Pedraza (Bayamon, Puerto Rico) registered a shutout and 10 saves as the Cougars played to a 0-0 draw against No. 6 Babson on Saturday afternoon. The senior recorded three saves in the first half and seven in the second half for his second shutout of the season.

The Cougars will return to the pitch on Thursday afternoon when they travel to Nichols for a non-conference contest beginning at 4:00 p.m.
