Bolcer was a four-year member of the men’s basketball team. He finished with a career 1,354 points and was a major contributor to the men’s basketball successes from 1978-1981. During his tenure, the Cougars accumulated an 82-22 overall record and a 64-9 record against New England Division III opponents.
From his sophomore year through his senior year, the team was ranked #1 in New England.
As a sophomore, Bolcer was named MVP of the NCAA Northeast Regional tournament, Clark’s first Northeast Regional championship. Leading his team as a tri-captain, Bolcer contributed greatly to the 1980-81 Cougars, who posted a 24-3 record and a second Northeast Regional Championship.
Bolcer graduated with a degree in economics in 1981 and a Masters of Business Administration in 1983. He is Vice President of Product Development at IPC Systems.
He resides in Fairfield, Conn., with his wife, Maryellen. They are the parents of a daughter, Shannon Anderson, and a son, Derek Bolcer.
