A three-sport athlete, Deb Cormier '89 played eleven varsity combined seasons of basketball, soccer, and softball at Clark and had tremendous success in each.

On the basketball court, Cormier was a four-year player and captained the team her senior year. As a guard, she helped lead the 1988-1989 Cougars to a perfect 26-0 regular season and both the 1989 ECAC New England Championship and the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship. That season, she was selected to the ECAC All-New England First Team as well as the New England Women’s Basketball Association All-Star Third Team.

In soccer, Cormier was a three-time All-New England selection as a sophomore, junior, and senior. She earned All-American honors as a junior and was named to the Northeast Regional All-Star Team the following season. In 1986, Cormier led the Cougars to a 14-4-2 overall record and the squad's first ECAC New England Tournament appearance. A proficient scorer, Cormier graduated with the school records for career points (90), career goals (40), season points (54 in 1986), and season goals (25 in 1986).

On the softball diamond, Cormier was a four-year player at shortstop and helped lead the Cougars to the 1989 ECAC North Championship.

Cormier was a recipient of the M. Hazel Hughes Trophy, given to the most outstanding senior female athlete of her class.
