Marcotte was a four-year member of the men’s cross country and track and field programs, graduating from Clark in 1995. He was one of the top runners on the team all four years as well as in program history and was a three-year captain for the cross country team. 

Marcotte earned the Worcester City Championship in 1993 and 1994 after being the runner-up in 1992. In 1995, Marcotte earned the Fred Hebert Award, which is presented to the senior or graduate male who has made a significant contribution to the intercollegiate athletic program and whose dedication and performance have enriched the tradition of Clark Athletics. Marcotte also earned a victory in the Central Massachusetts Health 5k Road Race in 1995.
