Garrity was a four-year member of the women's basketball and softball team and graduated from Clark in 2000. As a senior, she was named the NEWMAC Player of the Year in 2000, a member of the Second Team All-America in 2000, and ECAC Player of the Year in 2000.

Garrity currently ranks fourth all-time in points scored (1,607), third in steals (228), sixth in field goals made (615), seventh in career three-pointers (121), eighth in three-point field goal percentage (31.6), and eighth in rebounds (705). She also was named the Hughes Trophy winner in 2000 and helped guide Clark to three NCAA Tournament appearances, three NEWMAC Tournament Championships, and an overall record of 84-30.

Garrity was a three-time All-NEWMAC selection, started all 114 career games, and helped Clark reach the Third Round of the NCAA Tournament as a senior.
